REVIEW

The 4th Asian High Security Printing Conference, supported by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) was held at the luxurious five-star Sheraton Hotel situated between the West Lake and Red River, in the enchanting city of Hanoi, Vietnam.
 
TUESDAY 13, SEPTEMBER EVENING
 
The Conference was opened by Colin Cross, Managing Director of Cross Conferences who welcomed Attendees to the Cocktail Reception and Registration where Attendees registered and enjoyed refreshments whist socialising with other Delegates.
 
During the Welcome Cocktail Reception and Registration, the Attendees were given a chance to view the extensive industry related Exhibition, which featured demonstrations and displays from many and varied companies within the High Security Printing markets. Exhibitors included: First Print Yard, Luminescence, PARVIS, Digital Identification Solutions, Komori, Projectina, Petrel Security, BN International, Regula, Association GOZNAK, Mühlbauer, Atlantic Zeiser, Foster and Freeman, Pitagora, Datacard Asia, Currency News, Security Papers UK, InterCrim-Press, Keesing and VCCI.
 
WEDNESDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER - THURSDAY, 15 SEPTEMBER
 
Mr Hoang Van Dung, Executive Vice President of the VCCI officially opened the Conference and explained that the purpose of the VCCI is to promote business enterprises and that he was honoured to assist the High Security Printing Industry in Vietnam.
 
The following two days included presentations by world class experts from various fields of the High Security Printing in the areas of currency, counterfeiting, new issues, new security features, passports, ID cards and forensics.
 
The coffee breaks gave Attendees the opportunity to relax in the pleasant surroundings and visit the Exhibitor booths to discuss the specialist subjects presented during the Conference sessions.
 
Lunch on both days was served in the informal settings within the Sheraton Hotel. The Attendees continued the debates stimulated by the Conference and informally met new friends, as well as renewing old acquaintances.
 
The Conference Gala Dinner was held on the Potomac riverboat on the famous West Lake and Attendees were treated to a sumptuous Vietnamese buffet and an open bar, whilst being entertained with Vietnamese music and dancers performing traditional songs and dances.
 
FRIDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER
 
Attendees took advantage of a complimentary tour of Hanoi City, culminating with a farewell lunch at the Forest Restaurant before returning to their home countries or moving onto enjoy some sightseeing in Vietnam.
 
An enjoyable time was had by all.
