Following the successful 9th Asian High Security Printing Conference in Kuala Lumpur, the 10th conference will take place in Delhi, India from December 7-9, 2011.

In addition to Malaysia, previous Asian High Security Printing Conferences have taken place in China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand. Now it is India's turn and the timing couldn't be better, for so much is happening in this massive, rapidly-growing and increasingly authentication-conscious market. Its population of some 1.3 billion creates major opportunities for the banknote, ID and secure document industries - the creation of a new Directorate for Currency, massive investment in banknote paper production, the government's quest for new security features, the impending introduction of e-passports,  the creation of a biometric-based National Population Register as part of the country's Unique Identity Project and greater deployment of tax labels being just a few examples.
