About the Latin American High Security Printing Conference
The High Security Printing Conferences are annual events with a regional focus. They cover government-specified and issued documents, including currency, fiduciary documents, excise stamps, ID cards, e-passports, visas, vehicle documents and licences, with a particular emphasis on banknotes and emerging technologies for ID and travel documents. Running in tandem with each event is a trade exhibition of 30-40 companies supplying technologies and systems for these sectors.
The Asian High Security Printing Conference has been held each year since 2001, and the Pan European High Security Printing Conference since 2002. Both events were acquired from Cross Conferences by Reconnaissance International - specialists in consultancy, publishing and events for the authentication and related markets - in April 2009.
Latin America, however, is growing in importance - not just as a future economic powerhouse but, in the context of government documents, as a market for high security printing. Many of the countries are becoming key innovators in specification, procurement and distribution - serving not only their own growing economies but the wider region too. In recognition of this importance, Reconnaissance will be holding the Latin American High Security Printing Conference in July 2012 - the first ever event of its kind to address the needs, issues, challenges and opportunities for specifiers and producers of government documents in the region.
The conference, which will provide excellent networking opportunities alongside the programme and exhibition, will be complemented by a number of social events, including a welcome cocktail reception and gala dinner and a visit to the facilities of Casa da Moeda do Brasil, institutional supporters of the event.
Attendance at the the Pan European and Asian High Security Printing Conferences is typically in the region of 300-350 with attendees from all parts of the globe, providing an excellent opportunity to meet senior level decision makers in one location. The first Latin American High Security Printing Conference is expected to attract a similar audience, being of key interest to those organiastions already operating within the region, as well as those looking to expand there.
